New York, NY — The Printing Industries Alliance announced today that its popular Franklin Event will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 (5:30-10:00 pm) at The Lighthouse in New York City.

“Everyone in the industry looks forward to this popular gala at the Chelsea Piers complex”, noted Co-Chair Gary Dolgins (Blanchard Systems.) “It is one of the most exciting nights of the year. Recipients of the prestigious Franklin Award for Distinguished Service and three Power of Communications Awards will be announced shortly, followed by the Zenger Medal honoree later in the spring.

“People throughout PIA’s trade territory (all of New York State, northern New Jersey and northwestern Pennsylvania) are urged to submit nominations of worthy recipients for the John Peter Zenger Medal before our April 1 deadline,” added Co-Chair Martin Maloney (Broadford & Maloney, Inc.). “Zenger Medal criteria and nomination forms are available on the Association’s website, www.PIAlliance.org. Suggested candidates should be industry professionals employed within the footprint-- regardless of position or rank--who have done something outside of their professional lives which is reflective of exemplary courage, volunteerism, community or military service.”

Firms wishing to sponsor the Event may take advantage of early bird pricing. Platinum sponsorships (reserved table of ten) are $4,000 until June 15 ($5,000 thereafter). Gold sponsorships (reserved table of five) are $2,000 ($2,500 thereafter).  Both levels also provide for prominent mention throughout the event’s extensive media campaign, venue signage, website listing, and printed program.  Individual tickets are $350.
