ppi Media expands its sales activities in South America

Press release from the issuing company

Process optimization, automation and profit maximization – the publishing industry in South America is increasing its investment in innovative software solutions. As a market leader for workflow solutions for the publishing and printing industry, ppi Media, a subsidiary of manroland, will increase its sales activities significantly in South America during 2011.

In addition to leading the company's sales in North America, Markus Feldenkirchen, CEO of ppi Media US, Inc., will also assume responsibility for setting up and heading the sales team in Latin and South America. He will be responsible for intensifying existing business relations and establishing ppi Media as a service provider in the region. "The number of readers and circulation figures for daily newspapers remain stable in South America. In fact, the consulting company PricewaterhouseCoopers came to the conclusion in its Media & Entertainment Outlook 2010−2014 study that the number of readers especially in South America will even increase. Against this backdrop, the South American market, in particular Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Mexico and Columbia, is a significant target market for us." As the founder of digital, automated newspaper planning, ppi Media has set standards in technology, quality and reliability in the international newspaper industry for the past 25 years. "Our main objective is to position our solutions for central newspaper planning and production, ad management and production and plate production in the growing market and to acquire our first installations," says Markus Feldenkirchen. "To do so, we will also work together closely with manroland branch offices in Latin and South America."
