Berman Printing is 29th printer to become SGP Certified

Press release from the issuing company

Seattle, WA - Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP), an independent, non-profit organization for sustainability certification in the graphic communications industry, today announces that Cincinnati-based Berman Printing is the 29th organization to become an SGP Certified Facility. To achieve SGP Certification, the company adjusted its processes to reduce emissions, conserve resources, and reuse or recycle materials. SGP Certification comes with regular measurement and review of certified facilities, which puts Berman on a continuous improvement track that will benefit its employees, community, and customers.

Long recognized for its leadership in environmentally-friendly manufacturing, Berman Printing is a highly awarded, 120-person enterprise providing full-service sheet-fed and dimensional packaging print solutions to some of the most recognized brands. Berman, part of the TouchPoint Print Solutions network, plans to use the SGP Certification as a value proposition as its customers place a greater interest in working with a certified supplier.

"We are very proud to have earned this prestigious honor," comments Bill Tucker, Executive Vice President of Sales. "As consumers and businesses continue to move their purchases to 'responsible' providers, it is imperative that companies align themselves with progressive partners."

Tucker continues, "Buyers and marketing directors can be confident that an SGP-certified organization is in alignment with their sustainability guidelines without compromising cost, quality, or design. We continue to innovate and give customers not just superior products but also intangibles that yield new value in their businesses."

"We are excited to see Berman Printing become SGP Certified. The SGP Partnership is the only standard for those in the graphic communication industry to publicly demonstrate their commitment to sustainability," states Gary Jones, Vice Chair of the Technical Advisory Committee for SGP. "Berman, like many of our members who are SGP Certified, understand the value that SGP certification brings both to them and to their customers."
