PIA announces Ratios Survey is now open

Press release from the issuing company

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - Printing Industries of America is pleased to announce that the Ratios Survey is now open. The Ratios Survey is the leading financial benchmarking tool for the printing industry. Each year 16 volumes are developed from a survey of more than 500 printing firms.

The Ratios Survey can provide important information to printers that can help a business spend their money wisely and help answer questions such as:

- Are expenses too high in relations to sales?
- How much to increase prices?
- How to meet debts as they mature?
- Is there little or too much inventory in stock?

"Participating in the Ratios Survey is a great way to improve your bottom line," according to Dr. Ronnie H. Davis, vice president & chief economist, Printing Industries of America. "The reports and information provided by the Ratios ensures that printers aren't wasting resources or mismanaging their business."

Participants in the Ratios Survey will receive a volume of their choice. Each Ratios volume includes a report on operations, profitability, and sales factors; cost drivers and expenses; balance sheet statistics; funding ratios; leverage ratios; liquidity and activity ratios; value-added analysis; basic payroll data; employee profiles; inventory turnover; and billing cycles.

For more information on the Ratios or to participate, please visit www.printing.org/ratios. The deadline for participation is April 29, 2011.
