KBA North America, a global press manufacturer based in Dallas, Texas, has promoted Bruce Richardson to its web national sales manager. In this position, Richardson will be overseeing the KBA web accounts for both newspaper and commercial customers including the new high-performance, fully-automated C16 and Commander CT press models.

“I am pleased to be named national sales manager for web presses by KBA North America, Inc., especially at a time when we have introduced several new web press products to the industry,” says Richardson. “Our new Commander CT newspaper and C16 commercial heat-set presses are winning orders globally. I look forward to helping KBA maintain a leading role in providing state of the art web press technology to present and future customers throughout North America”.

Richardson brings nearly 25 years of experience in the web offset industry. He joined KBA in May 1987 as the eastern sales manager of the web offset division and later sales manager where he provided print production analysis and planning for KBA’s web customers. Prior to joining KBA, Richardson held the position of national sales manager at Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation and marketing manager at WR Grace. Richardson graduated from Wagner College and earned a graduate business certificate from Long Island University-Brooklyn Campus and took graduate courses in business administration and marketing at the University of North Texas. He belongs to the International Newspaper Group and the Southern Newspaper Publishers Association and is a board member of the Newspaper and Publication Flexo Users Group.

“Bruce has vast web press technical knowledge to consult our customers and also an extensive understanding of key current and future applications in the web market place,” says Mark Hischar, president and CEO of KBA North America. “His immense experience in web offset sales and his consistent role in working with our newspaper and commercial customers will support our new web presses and provide invaluable insight to this segment of the market.”
