Joel Quadracci Named SVP at Quad/Graphics; Elected to Board

January 12, 2004 -- Quad/Graphics has fortified its leadership with the appointment of Joel Quadracci to Senior Vice President of Sales and Administration, as well as a member of the Board of Directors. For the past four years, Mr. Quadracci has served as the company's Vice President of Print Sales, during which time he has overseen significant growth in company marketshare. "Joel is an extremely capable leader," said Thomas A. Quadracci, President & CEO of Quad/Graphics. "Over the past few years, he has engineered a sales strategy that has enabled Quad/Graphics to grow marketshare despite an unstable economy. He also has been instrumental in developing Quad/Graphics' unique and successful manufacturing and service platforms. In his new roles, we will capitalize on his industry knowledge and insight to ensure we retain our leadership position well into the future." In his new role as Senior Vice President of Sales and Administration, Mr. Joel Quadracci will be responsible for directing all facets of Sales and Customer Service for Quad/Graphics with the goal of further integrating these two divisions to create a high-performance service team focused on consistently providing clients with unequaled response. As a member of the company's Board of Directors, Mr. Quadracci will help guide the strategic growth and success of Quad/Graphics. "I am pleased to expand my leadership position at the company my father founded," he said, referencing the late Harry V. Quadracci. Mr. Quadracci officially joined Quad/Graphics in 1991 after graduating from Skidmore College with a degree in philosophy. After completing Quad/Graphics' Corporate Training Program, which prepares employees for roles of responsibility within the company, he focused on sales. He became a Sales manager in 1995, manager of the New York City Sales office in 1997, a regional sales strategy director in 1998, and Vice President of Print Sales in 1999.
