Heritage Envelopes joins the Two Sides Campaign

Press release from the issuing company

London, UK – Heritage Envelopes Limited has joined the Two Sides Campaign; the initiative to promote the responsible production and use of print and paper and encourage its use as an attractive, practical and sustainable communications medium.

Heritage Envelopes Limited, which produces over 60 million envelopes a week, is one of the UK's leading suppliers of printed stock and bespoke envelopes and prides itself on offering an excellent manufacturing service to an increasingly diverse customer base.

The company has always taken environmental and sustainability issues extremely seriously and in 2006 was one of the first envelope manufacturers in the UK to be PEFC and FSC certified and sees joining of Two Sides as a continuation of its commitment to promoting paper as a sustainable product.

Heritage's Logistics Director Martyn Salt comments on joining Two Sides. "We have always been at the forefront of sustainability issues and have taken a proactive role in finding sustainable solutions within our business. Joining Two Sides shows how dedicated we are as a company towards promoting the sustainability of paper. We feel that we have a corporate responsibility to show that commitment and feel very strongly that it's important to get behind the Two Sides campaign. The industry is often unfairly criticised by people who are not informed about the industry and have widespread misconceptions about print and paper and its impact on the environment."

Heritage Envelopes has been committed to The Royal Mail's Sustainable Mail project for the past two years and has worked closely with the organisation to achieve effective targeting and data management whilst ensuring that all paper and material used are recyclable and mailings carry the 'Recycle Now' logo and/or a statement which will encourage customers to recycle the item.

Two Sides Director, Martyn Eustace comments: "It's fantastic to have a company which is not only already extremely committed to sustainability across all levels of its company infrastructure, but also shares the same passion and forward thinking towards the promotion of responsible production and use of print and paper. Having Heritage Envelopes on board is demonstrative of how important it is that all sectors of the industry pull together to reinforce the message that using print does not damage the environment but may even be the most sustainable way to communicate. Members of Two Sides share facts, resources and tools to help get this message across and ensure that Print Media remains a vital part of today's multimedia mix."
