“Selecting printing plates is not as simple as buying a ream of paper at the office supply store,” said Sherburne. “There are many other metrics to consider other than run lengths and cost per plate. Three experienced printing executives will share their experiences with the transition costs of making a change versus the impact of a change on prepress and pressroom productivity, giving an end-to-end view of the impact of plates on overall productivity and profitability.”

- Dean Mills, Plant Operations Director, Allen Press. Headquartered in Lawrence KS, Allen Press provides integrated services for scholarly journal and special-interest publication production.
- Jeff Hernandez, Vice President, Classic Color. Located in suburban Chicago, Classic Color began as a prepress company but has evolved into a visual communications company with significant investments in digital workflows and printing equipment.
- Todd Smith, Quality Director, Rose City Printing & Packaging. With operations in Vancouver WA and Gresham OR, RCPP is a mid-sized printer and converter with annual sales in excess of $37 million.
