Press release from the issuing company

Zaandam, The Netherlands – WoodWing Software, an innovation leader in the fields of cross-media publishing solutions and tablet publishing, brings its highly successful WoodWing World Tour to San Francisco on March 9.

The conference is aimed at decision-makers from the publishing industry, as well as technology experts for print, online, mobile and tablet publishing. The participants will receive in-depth information about how newspaper, magazine and corporate publishers of all sizes can adapt to current market trends and the challenges of the publishing future.

In the morning, the jam-packed conference program will feature WoodWing’s top management sharing their vision of the industry, which will focus on the emerging tablet trend. After a coffee break, Rebecca McPheters, CEO of McPheters & Company, will inform the audience about the company´s iMonitor ranking, which evaluates more than 1,000 apps from over 40 countries.

Major highlight: The keynote of design legend Roger Black

For 40 years, Roger Black has been developing ways to communicate content more effectively, working with publications like Rolling Stone, Newsweek and The New York Times, and Web sites like Bloomberg.com. Today, he is the design director of Nomad Editions, a group of digital weeklies, and owns the famous Roger Black Design Studio in New York. His teams have redesigned Reader's Digest, Esquire, Scientific American, the Los Angeles Times and The Washington Post. In his keynote, Black will explain “The evolution of publication design – making dynamic pages that can be read on every device.”

Inspiring program of presentations, demonstrations and case studies

In the afternoon, the program with multiple tracks will address specific issues of the industry and show how to tackle them using WoodWing solutions. Joe Zeff, former Graphic Director of Time Magazine and President of Joe Zeff Design, will explain how publishers can transition their traditional publications to tablets such as the iPad. WoodWing Product Evangelist Victor Cardoso will give a soup-to-nuts demonstration of tablet publishing with WoodWing´s cross-media publishing system Enterprise, and a number of case studies will deliver in-depth information on how publishers can benefit from WoodWing´s solutions. The detailed agenda can be found at worldtour.woodwing.com.

The keynotes and lectures will inspire the attendees to think afresh and return home with new ideas. This event is also an excellent opportunity to meet industry peers and ask questions about WoodWing and its cross-media publishing solutions.

The event is sponsored by WoodWing´s technology partners dataplan and Tansa Systems. Sponsoring business partners are Aysling Digital Media Solutions and eMerge Consulting, both of which are authorized solution partners of WoodWing in the United States.
