Torraspapel installation self-adhesive machine at its Almazán plant

Press release from the issuing company

With the aim of positioning itself as one of the leading suppliers of self-adhesive materials in Europe and establishing a position in a market with expectations of growing demand, Torraspapel, part of the Lecta Group, has announced the installation of a new self-adhesive machine at its Almazán (Spain) factory. This will double the plant's current production capacity and allow it to offer a wide range of products, including a new line of hot-melt adhesives and film materials for labelstock.

This substantial investment represents a significant leap forward in the competitiveness of the Almazán plant, in addition to contributing to the economic and social development of the region in a sustainable manner by creating new direct employment and the corresponding indirect employment generated by increased activity.

Furthermore, with the opening of a modern logistics hub in the center of Europe, Torraspapel will be able to offer quick delivery times, thereby strengthening its commercial service and position in Central and Eastern European markets.

The implementation of the new installations is scheduled for mid-2012.

The total production capacity of Torraspapel, a pulp, coated paper, specialty papers and base paper manufacturer, is over 1.1 million tons. The company has invested heavily in its seven Spanish manufacturing sites, which have been equipped to specialize in specific product lines, with a high level of integration and technological know-how, resulting in better product knowledge, higher quality and excellent environmental positioning.
