Press release from the issuing company

Fairfax, Virginia - Graphic arts students and teachers should be on the lookout for the most innovative imaging work of the school year to compete in SGIA's 2011 Tom Frecska Student Printing Competition. The Association is accepting entries now through July 15, 2011.

Sponsored by the Academy of Screen Printing Technology, the competition annually honors superior imaging work within 24 categories. First place winners will be recognized in each category, and two exceptional entries (one per division) will be honored with the Best in Show award.

Best of Show winners will receive a special ASPT Student Achievement Award and a cash prize of $500 to use toward their graphic arts education. All submissions also will be displayed to industry leaders at the 2011 SGIA Expo (New Orleans, October 19-21).

The competition is open to students, as individuals or teams, who attend secondary and post-secondary schools that hold an educational membership with SGIA. All work must be produced during the 2010-2011 school year.
