Stark Druck and Goss International to release Germany's first 96-page web press

Press release from the issuing company

Installation of the first 96-page web press in Germany – a Goss Sunday 5000 system – is nearing completion at Stark Druck in Pforzheim, and the press is expected to go into production on schedule in February.

Components for the Sunday 5000 press began arriving from Goss International facilities in France, the Netherlands and the United States in November. The press with a web width of 2860 millimeters (112 inches) includes Goss DigiRail digital inking and Autoplate fully automatic plate changing technology. Goss International is equipping the system with a Contiweb FD paster, Ecocool dryer and PCF-3 pinless combination folder.

The new 96-page Goss press will operate alongside two 48-page Goss Sunday 4000 short-grain presses installed at Stark Druck in 2006 and 2008.
