Press release from the issuing company

September 29, 2003 (Chicago, IL) - Group Logic, developer of best-selling network workflow software products, announced today at Graph Expo and Converting Expo 2003 the beta release of its Mac OS X Native MassTransit Enterprise Server product.  The enhanced version of MassTransit will offer customers a valuable new platform for mission critical file transfers by combining the power of Apple's UNIX-based operating system with the advanced file transfer features of MassTransit.  The product is scheduled for final release late this year and is now available to qualified customers for beta testing. "The Macintosh platform is extremely important to our customers in the graphic arts marketplace," explains Andy Lewis, VP of Sales and Marketing at Group Logic. "Mac OS X offers major enhancements to the Mac operating system that will allow our customers to access more fully the power of MassTransit. The stability, reliability and performance of OS X make it an excellent platform for mission-critical server software packages such as our MassTransit Enterprise product." By combining the power of MassTransit with Macintosh OS X's capabilities, customers will gain valuable advantages:   - Superior performance, stability and reliability of MassTransit servers based on the rock-solid, UNIX—based underpinnings of OS X.    Both the pre-emptive multi-tasking and protected mode memory capabilities of OS X mean that customers running critical file transfer workflows with MassTransit will be able to depend on the product more than ever before. - Powerful new options for hosting MassTransit Enterprise's unique, web file transfer workflows.  Bundled with OS X, the Apache web server is the industrial strength, industry standard web server that powers the majority of all web sites on the Internet.  OS X thus provides a powerful, complete solution for serving MassTransit's web capabilities. - Integrated security for web-based file transfer workflows.  OS X's bundled Apache's web server offers the ability to publish secure web sites out of the box.  By utilizing these features with MassTransit's secure, SSL-based file transfer protocol, customers using OS X will have everything they need to safeguard their confidential data in transit on the Internet. - Enhanced flexibility in designing file transfer system architectures through OS X's networking enhancements.   Through the new OS's multi-homing and IP aliasing support, customers will have valuable new ways to structure their file transfer systems so that the superior benefits of MassTransit file transfers can be gained while at the same time corporate security and networking requirements are met.
