Wednesday, January 12, 2011

Press release from the issuing company

Newton, Massachusetts – Questex Media, producers of the ON DEMAND 2011 Exposition announced that Charlie Corr, one of the industry’s foremost thought leaders, will keynote the show’s Wednesday main session. Corr, Vice President of Corporate Strategy at Mimeo.com, will present “The New Era of Printing & Publishing On Demand” on Wednesday, March 23rd, commencing at 9:00 am. The keynote presentation will be offered in concert with the Publishing Xchange conference. Scheduled to debut at this year’s show (March 22-24 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Washington DC), the conference is aimed at publishers, marketers, printers and digital service providers.
The New Era of Printing & Publishing On Demand
The session will be a thought provoking review of the evolution of printing and publishing, and examine the new era we’ve entered. Businesses are now challenged by both threats and opportunities that impact the entire value chain (from publishers to printers to distributors to end users). While the evolving view options will gain share, new business strategies, requirements, and technologies provide keen opportunities for the savvy market player.
Corr will call upon his vast library of market data and in-the-trench experience to support his presentation. Living it every day at Mimeo, he’s at the center of this change with cloud-based solutions that continuously transcend print. Among the topics to be analyzed:
- The evolution of the market;
- New technologies that drive new business opportunities;
- Examples of how to succeed;
- Challenges that need to be addressed.
