Columbus, OH - 8 golds, 3 silvers, and 1 bronze would be quite a feat at an Olympic Games, but it is also the accomplishment of 12 pieces printed by Hopkins Printing at the 36th International Gallery of Excellence. This annual printing and graphic arts competition is held in Minneapolis, Minnesota and supported by the IAPHC, The Graphic Professionals Resource Network.

In 2010, entries originating in Australia, Britain, China, Hong Kong, Korea, India, Italy, Malaysia, New Zealand, Poland, Russia, Singapore and South Africa joined hundreds of other entrants from around North America for this competition. Participants vied for awards honoring worldwide distinction in the arts and sciences of graphic expression. Submissions were evaluated by a panel of international printing experts who considered overall visual appearance, quality and difficulty of the graphic arts processes used, as well as effectiveness of communication.

Hopkins Printing received awards for a variety of their customers' pieces consisting of programs, catalogs, bulletins, thank you cards, pocket folders, and brochures. "The fact that companies from all over the world enter this contest shows that the words on the page are not the main focus - it's the design and print quality.
