Rochester, N.Y. — Kodak is pleased to announce Sin Chew Media Corporation Bhd will install three additional lines of KODAK GENERATION NEWS Systems in its Tebrau, Johor, printing plant in Malaysia. The Sin Chew Daily is the largest-circulating Chinese newspaper in Southeast Asia.

Sin Chew Media is upgrading its printing facility in Tebrau in order to meet high demand, control print variation and maintain high printing standards.  The company had previously installed three lines of KODAK GENERATION NEWS Systems with thermal technology at its main printing center in Petaling, Jaya in 2009. The KODAK GENERATION NEWS System maximizes throughput with a fast, highly automated platemaking system, enabling printers to realize all the benefits of thermal imaging, including increased stability and repeatability and outstanding print quality.

A signing ceremony recently took place at Sin Chew Media’s headquarters in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia for the three new lines.
