Press release from the issuing company

CHICAGO--Sept. 29, 2003-- Screen (USA), one of the largest Computer-to-Plate (CTP) equipment manufacturers in the world, today announced it will become a reseller of Electronics For Imaging's Velocity OneFlow(TM) prepress software. Additionally, Screen (USA) will collaborate with EFI and Printcafe to integrate Printcafe's powerful suite of print management (ERP) solutions with Screen's CTP devices and Trueflownet. "We are excited to offer Velocity OneFlow multi-featured software to our U.S. and Latin American customers because of the efficiency and accuracy gained through automating the many critical pre-press steps," said A.J. Kakiuchi, president, Screen (USA). "For Screen, working together with EFI and embracing CIP4 and JDF within Trueflownet clearly signals our commitment to open systems. We look forward to working with EFI and integrating with Printcafe's industry-leading management software." "Today's announcement with CTP industry leader Screen (USA) begins a new collaboration on true connectivity through open standards to commercial printing workflows," said EFI President and COO Fred Rosenzweig. "Velocity OneFlow is an affordable pre-press solution for small to mid-size printers. With EFI's planned merger with Printcafe, we will work together to ensure that Printcafe's Hagen OA, PSI, Logic and Printsmith ERP systems integrate seamlessly with Screen (USA)'s CTP devices and Trueflownet system through open, JDF-enabled connections." "We're very glad to be working with Screen (USA)," said Marc Olin, CEO of Printcafe. "The connectivity between the Printcafe print management systems and Screen CTP devices and systems under Trueflownet will help our customers gain a competitive advantage as they reduce costs and improve productivity and responsiveness."
