Unisource Worldwide awards challenge grant to The Print Council

Press release from the issuing company

Washington, D.C. – The Print Council is pleased to announce that the Unisource Worldwide Matching Challenge Grant has resulted in $100,000 of new financial support from the industry – as well as 15 new supporters to the council ranks.

According to Print Council Executive Director Ben Cooper, “We are thankful for the support of Unisource and pleased that many current sponsors and first-time supporters have participated in this grant process.  This additional support will fund new initiatives as well as support the ongoing programs of The Print Council, such as the Print in the Mix clearinghouse of print market research and the successful Print Delivers seminars.”

“This challenge grant program was designed for the print and paper sector with one primary goal in mind – to unify around the promotion of the industry so everyone benefits in the long run,” said Unisource CEO Al Dragone.  “With this additional funding, I am confident that The Print Council will continue to strengthen its efforts to support paper-based communications.  They will offer ongoing programs to educate both our own printing industry as well as the creative design, media and marketing communities about why it’s a sound decision to continue to include print in their overall marketing mix,” Dragone said.
