Press release from the issuing company

CHICAGO--Sept. 29, 2003-- Electronics For Imaging, the world leader in imaging solutions for network printing, today announced that Mitsubishi Imaging (MPM), Inc., the leader in Computer-To-Plate (CTP) polyester plate and violet metal plate material, is showcasing EFI's Velocity OneFlow prepress workflow solution at the Graph Expo show in Chicago this week. Mitsubishi Imaging (booth #4619) will demonstrate the cost-savings and competitive advantages of managing output through their Silver DigiPlate polyester platesetters and their Alpha Violet metal platesetters. "EFI's Velocity OneFlow presents high growth opportunities to both traditional and digital printers who are looking to expand their services and drive new revenue. We are delighted to join with EFI in showcasing a unique, reliable digital, CTP and offset printing solution for effectively streamlining workflows and reducing time and labor costs," said Cathy Cartolano, Vice President and General Manager, Mitsubishi Imaging (MPM), Inc. Velocity OneFlow lets printers design a custom workflow path to automatically manage prepress functions. From one intuitive interface, users can create, view and edit workflows at any time. It includes advanced tools to convert files to PDF, preflight, trap, impose, RIP, soft proof and more. OneFlow also allows any user to simply drag a file onto a 'Hot Folder' where it is automatically processed based on pre-set job specifications and sent to press without any user intervention. Velocity OneFlow's ability to cut job preparation time enables print shops to effectively maximize their manpower, expand their services, and add to their bottom-line. "Mitsubishi Imaging's customers will see first hand how to increase their productivity and profitability with OneFlow's customizable, automated workflow system," said Frank Mallozzi, VP Worldwide Sales at EFI. "We are proud that Mitsubishi, the leader in high quality CTP solutions for more than 10 years, recognizes the value that EFI's Velocity OneFlow offers graphic arts professionals."
