T/R Systems Introduces Digital StoreFront Express

Press release from the issuing company

CHICAGO--Sept. 29, 2003-- T/R SYSTEMS, INC., a leader in developing innovative solutions for the management and production of digital documents, announced today at Graph Expo the introduction of Digital StoreFront Express(TM), a web-based job submission solution for print providers. This new product enhances the customer's experience when submitting jobs on-line, improves operational productivity and expands the services that printers can offer to their customers. Based upon T/R Systems' Digital StoreFront(TM), Digital StoreFront Express is an entry level, software-only web-based solution that simplifies print job submission, proofing and job ticketing over the Internet and eliminates redundant data entry throughout the print procurement and production process. It streamlines print center operations by seamlessly integrating the flow of data through the print center and optimizes device utilization and job turnaround by automating the flow of jobs to output devices. "We are excited about the introduction of Digital StoreFront Express, which was developed in response to market demands for a robust entry level document submission product similar to Digital StoreFront," said Neal Tompkins, Chief Technology Officer of T/R Systems. "It includes basic yet essential features required by print providers today." Digital StoreFront Express helps print providers increase the level of service to their customers by reducing turnaround time for proofing, simplifying the process of submitting jobs on-line and providing advanced workflow. The software runs independently of the MicroPress document production server, but is fully compatible with and can reside on the DX and MX platforms of the MicroPress X Series. Standard features of Digital StoreFront Express include Print Messenger, the client-based conversion tool, on-line Portable Document Format (PDF) preview, job ticketing, Web interface and integration to the MicroPress X Series or IKON PowerPRESS(TM). Optional features include master interface, reporting interface, on-line catalog, order history, integration to non-MicroPress devices and automatic quoting. Digital StoreFront Express has a suggested retail price of $8995. Digital StoreFront Express provides unmatched control and flexibility, delivers maximum customer reach, increases customer retention and optimizes profitability. For a demonstration of Digital StoreFront Express, visit the Canon U.S.A. booth (#3451) at Graph Expo, September 28-October 1, 2003, at McCormick Place in Chicago.
