CHICAGO, Sept.29, 2003 – Xerox Corporation today introduced the WorkCentre M24, a color copier-printer ideal for quick printers requiring fast turnarounds on small jobs. The WorkCentre M24 is Xerox’s fastest in this class of color copier-printers and combines the convenience of a black-and-white device with the benefit of color in one system. It also provides an affordable option for printing high-quality proofs, full-color marketing brochures, sales collaterals, presentations and business cards. “The WorkCentre M24 helps our customers produce high quality work in less time than their competitors, and that adds up to more revenue and profits,” said Rob Stewart, vice president, marketing, Xerox Office Group. “This system’s performance makes it a productive fit for graphic arts firms, quick printers or on-demand print shops. It also meets the needs of offices needing to print professional-level color documents.” Using Emulsion Aggregation (EA) toner, a super-smooth form of dry ink that is chemically grown - not crushed - into uniform particles, the WorkCentre M24 prints with sharp image quality, fine line text and resolution up to 1200 x 1200 dpi. Developed at the Xerox Research Centre of Canada, EA toner also delivers high reliability and low operating costs. At print speeds of 13 pages-per-minute (ppm) in color and 24 ppm in black-and-white, the WorkCentre M24 is among the fastest in its class. Also, with the fastest first page out times of 4.7 seconds for black-and-white and 10.4 seconds for color, users spend less time waiting for their jobs. In addition, the WorkCentre M24 saves time and money with easy-to-access consumables, and an “always on” feature that decreases warm up time. Additional productive features include one-touch faxing with phone and Internet capability and scan to e-mail or network. The system handles a broad range of media types and sizes including card stock and labels, envelopes, business cards and CD/DVD labels. The WorkCentre M24 has a U.S. list price of $11,395 and includes the Xerox Total Satisfaction Guarantee.
