Hamilton Printing expands digital book manufacturing to meet customer's demands

Press release from the issuing company

Castleton, New York - Hamilton Printing Company, New York's largest web book printer is expanding its digital book manufacturing services by adding a Xerox Continuous Feed 1300, a move that will significantly increase the company's capacity.

"Since going digital earlier this year, we've seen a tremendous increase in short run digital sales," said Rick Dunn, vice president, manufacturing at Hamilton Printing Company.  "Customers have been very receptive to our short run digital offering and with the new printer our capacity will now be five times greater."

The Xerox Continuous Feed prints 300 feet per minute and customers will have a wider range of substrates to use since it prints down to 27 lb. stock.

Hamilton will continue to utilize the Standard Horizon BQ-470PUR automated four clamp perfect binder and HT-70 in-line three-knife trimmer for finishing. Publishers will still be able to select paperback or hardcover books when printing digitally with Hamilton.

"Book publishers have come to expect great quality and service from Hamilton," added Dunn.  "The addition of the Xerox Continuous Feed 1300 will allow us to have faster response times without sacrificing image or output quality. It's just another way we're continuing to meet the demands of our customers."
