Midland Information Resources receives FSC Certification

Press release from the issuing company

Davenport, IA - Midland Information Resources (MIR), a global provider of information distribution solutions, has furthered our dedication to decreasing our impact on the environment by becoming a FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified printer.

“We are very proud and excited to have become FSC certified,” Stated Tom Sheehan President of Midland Information Resources, “This certification will now allow us to give our customers an additional option to decrease their impact on the environment while increasing their awareness to sustainable foresting practices.”

Sustainability has been an over arching theme of Midland Information Resources’ corporate direction for nearly three decades.  Since the early 1980’s our vision has always been to provide on-demand information management and distribution solutions that help our customers reduce costs, eliminate waste, decrease warehouse space and save valuable resources.  We have built a culture that is ecologically mindful of the processes, products and equipment we use, we encourage our employees to participate in sustainability at work, home and in our community and we continually look for new ways to walk more lightly upon our environment.

“I am extremely impressed with the knowledge our employees displayed during the auditor’s employee interviews” said Dan Rebarcak the head of the FSC project at Midland Information Resources. “This is both a testament to our training processes, to our employee buy-in to the FSC program, and Midland Information Resources dedication to the environment.”
