Colonial Press International upgrades to integrated Prism MIS

Press release from the issuing company

Wilmington, MA - Colonial Press International of Miami, Florida, has begun implementing the complete Prism WIN 2010 management information system (MIS.) Colonial has been a partner to its customers for over 50 years and its investment in WIN is an investment not only in increased service levels, but a continued investment in the best tools for Colonial's employees. WIN was chosen as a significant upgrade over their existing MIS because of its configurability, fully integrated modules, and ability to support a growing business.

"Colonial has highly skilled people to meet our clients' needs and Prism WIN will enable our people to work to their fullest potential," said Jorge Gomez, President of Colonial Press International. "We evaluated many excellent solutions, but Prism WIN, its people, and leadership team stood out and was the logical choice to be our partner."

Colonial offers turn-key print solutions with the flexibility of sheetfed, half web, and full web printing capabilities. They will support these manufacturing capabilities with a complete Prism WIN package including estimating, scheduling, inventory, integrated accounting, and shop floor data collection. The implementation will follow Prism's proven and trusted implementation methodology which will take advantage of the knowledge and expertise of the Colonial staff.

Leland Morgan, General Manager of Prism North America stated, "Year in and year out we find that the progressive printers in North America are choosing Prism WIN. Colonial Press International has unique business processes that differentiate them and WIN will give them the flexibility to streamline those very processes."

Implementation of the system has begun and Colonial is expected to be live in the coming months.
