Strobbe Demonstrates Latest CtP Devices And Workflow Solutions At Graph Expo

Press release from the issuing company

Chicago (September 27, 2003)—Strobbe, manufacturer of computer-to-plate imaging devices for the newspaper and commercial printing markets, demonstrates its latest models and newest generation of software at Graph Expo 2003, booth #1540. At Graph Expo, Strobbe will show enhancements to its exclusive “GAP FINDER” system that automates the imposition process, eliminating any operator intervention. After its introduction last year, US customers have experienced significant cost savings and higher pre-press throughput by incorporating this software into their workflow. Also on display will be Strobbe’s latest CTP model, the PSA-24, a completely automated platesetter, which can be equipped with either green or violet diodes. This flatbed CTP device can handle plates up to 25.5” x 36” and will be on-line to Strobbe’s new OptiBend Automatic Punch and Plate Bender that can output up to 240 plates per hour. With the new OptiBend, Strobbe is one of the only manufacturers offering a complete solution from Front-End software to CTP imaging to On-Line Plate Punching and Bending. Strobbe provides complete workflow solutions based on Compose’s Express modular workflow system. The RIP once, output many (ROOM) technology ensures data integrity between the proofing device and platesetter.
