SMA helps VSG expand fulfillment business

Rocky Hill, CT - Software Marketing Associates announced today that VSG, Inc. has entered into a licensing agreement to use its Pro-Mail suite of direct-marketing and fulfillment software solutions to help the St. Louis-based company broaden its fulfillment business.

Founded in 1981, Software Marketing Associates (SMA) is the purveyor of Pro-Mail, the nation's top custom-tailored fulfillment and management software for the commercial printing, direct-mail and fulfillment industries.

VSG, established in 1985, is a fully licensed replicator for CD and DVD, and provides related services such as fulfillment, authoring, and interactive and database programming.  VSG also operates facilities in Nashville, Dallas, Orlando and Raleigh.

Jerry Koerner, VSG director of business development, explains how his company chose SMA to be its partner. "Last year our company crafted a strategy to increase business nationally. Part of that plan included expanding our fulfillment services, something we were managing using in-house software that we knew had limitations.  It was evident that a more robust fulfillment software package would be needed to meet our objectives."

VSG's search for a suitable fulfillment platform led the company to SMA.  After learning about Pro-Mail's capabilities, seeing demonstrations on how Pro-Mail could be adapted as VSG needed and investigating other available software programs, the company concluded Pro-Mail was the right choice for it.

With the Pro-Mail decision behind it, VSG has focused much of this year acquiring additional manufacturing equipment and a new St. Louis-area warehouse in support of its expansion plans.
