PIA announces Web2Awards winners

Press release from the issuing company

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - Printing Industries of America and the Digital Printing Council are proud to announce the recipients of the 2010 web2awards. This award celebrates the forward-thinking mindset of printers and their ability to adopt current technologies to augment their businesses. In its second year, the web2awards is the premier--and only--annual award competition that names the best websites in the print/marketing service provider industry. With revamped and streamlined entry categories, this year's recipients of the web2awards showcase what is possible when print and technology come together.

"It's clear from the sites we've seen this year that printers are using their growing expertise with Internet-based services to offer creative, compelling websites of their own," said Julie Shaffer, vice president, digital technologies for Printing Industries of America. "We saw some fabulous entries this year and already have ideas for new categories for 2011--or things like integration of social media tools to enhance business."

Entries were judged by an anonymous panel in six areas--overall design; structure and navigation; content; technology; ease of use; and innovation. Point values between 0 and 60 were awarded in each category. Any averaged score above 48 received an Exceptional Website Award certificate. Companies were divided according to annual sales volume: under $15 million and $15 million and over. For each company sales range, the highest score in a given category is awarded Best of Category. All Best of Category winners were evaluated to select the Best of Show.
