Heidelberg Introduces New Dymatrix Die Cutting System At Graph Expo

Press release from the issuing company

CHICAGO, September 28, 2003 – Heidelberg today launched its new, fully automated, high-speed die-cutting system at Graph Expo/Converting Expo 2003. The Dymatrix 105 CS will be demonstrated in the Heidelberg booth for the first time and give attendees a glimpse at its capabilities and new advances in high-speed die cutting technology. Dymatrix 105 CS encompasses the latest technology that allows for stable and accurate die cutting and embossing with the industry’s only Dual Overhead Cam Upper Platen Drive and advanced feed-to delivery station sheet transport eliminating vertical movement of the cutting bed. From the sheet transport system to the machine drive system all the way to the cutting, stripping and blanking stations, the Dymatrix 105 CS is capable of producing 9000 finished sheets an hour. “Heidelberg’s strategy is to expand its finishing product lines while striving to offer its customers the solutions they need to achieve success, Heidelberg has accomplished that with the introduction of the Dymatrix, Diana, and Steuer product lines,” stated Rob Kuehl, Director Postpress Packaging & Cutting Systems. “From its innovated sheet feeder to the fully automatic pallet change-over system, the Dymatrix is the complete package when it comes to high speed and high volume die-cutting systems.” Heidelberg now offers cam driven platen press die cutting machines in the popular 41", 44" and 56" formats. At 9000 sheets per hour, the Dymatrix 105 CS provides -- inovative cam driven upper platen movement for smooth sheet transport, integrated transmission drive, patented register system, motorized cutting pressure adjustment and many more benefits, the Dymatrix is steps ahead of the competition. In January 2003, Heidelberg announced it had purchased the Diana folding box gluing product lines and WPM die-cutting product lines from the Jagenberg Group. Jagenberg has long been recognized as one of the leaders in the package printing industry and Heidelberg is prepared to capitalize and build on this reputation. “We believe that with our experienced sales team and Heidelberg’s training, support and overall commitment to its customers is going to make the entire line of Dymatrix systems very attractive to printers,” stated Kuehl. “Heidelberg recently hired four highly recognized sales representatives known in the packaging industry in addition to the distinguished full-line Heidelberg sales force: Bill Ewaskiw covering the West, Jerry Faulkner covering the South/Southwest, Kevin Goodway covering the East, and Rick Morris covering the Central regions.”
