Color-Logic and Kompac demonstrate metallic and special coatings at Graph Expo

Press release from the issuing company

West Chester, OH - Color-Logic and Kompac have partnered to demonstrate the ability to coat metallic printing and special effects.  Announcing the collaboration, Color-Logic Director of Sales and Marketing Mark Geeves commented: "Color-Logic Best Offset Silver ink has been successfully tested by Kompac using both aqueous and ultraviolet coatings.  The results of these tests show none of the dullness which often plagues other metallic inks.  Actual printed examples produced during the testing were available to visitors at the recent Graph Expo show in Chicago, the first commercial showing of the Color-Logic Process Metallic Color System."

Celebrating 30 years in business, Kompac Technologies is the leading manufacturer and supplier of an extensive line of products for the worldwide graphic arts industry.  Kompac successfully entered the coating market with the introduction of the Kompac Kwik Finish in 2006, and has constantly expanded the line, to the current Kompac EZ Koat 20.  In addition, Kompac offers a complete line of ultraviolet and aqueous coatings, plus environmentally friendly cleaners and consumables.  Commenting on the partnership with Color-Logic, Tom Hayes, President of Kompac Technologies, said: "The demand for UV Coating has intensified in the past decade, particularly in the digital environment.  The result is a product that looks great but is also protected from the elements and has extra durability for repeat handling.  Kompac Coating Equipment will add depth and appeal to printed pieces."
