New KODAK MARKETMOVER Program Helps Printers Grow

Press release from the issuing company

ROCHESTER, N.Y., August 27 -- Continuing to expand the KODAK MARKETMOVER Business Development Services, Kodak launches the photo services sales module as part of the KODAK MARKETMOVER Premier Package. The new offering supports professional photo labs, online photo service retailers, and commercial printers that use KODAK NEXPRESS Digital Color Presses in developing and growing new digital printing photo services. According to a PhotoFinishing News study, the anticipated number of photobooks printed worldwide this year stands at 42 million books and is expected to nearly double by 2010.

KODAK NEXPRESS Presses enable a number of unique photo applications, such as personalized greeting cards, photo books and calendars. The MARKETMOVER Premier Services Program combines Kodak's unique experience in the photo memory markets with established MARKETMOVER Business Development Services, a range of customizable marketing tools, and a new set of training workshops to help NEXPRESS Press customers capitalize on this fast growing and profitable market opportunity.

The program was introduced at Kodak's recent ProLab Workshop in Rochester for photo services providers. Adding a NEXPRESS Press to a photo lab provides opportunities to grow the company's overall business. The photo specialty products that a NEXPRESS Press produces can help a lab bring in new customers while still retaining its current customer base.

The photo business development services program includes a new KODAK MARKETMOVER Targeted Sales Module, an online tool that provides a comprehensive program to support sales and marketing into a variety of market segments. The MARKETMOVER Targeted Sales Module for photo services includes two distinct sets of marketing strategies, and supporting marketing materials such as Point of Purchase signage, direct mailers, bill stuffers and advertisements. The first program targets consumers, while the other is geared toward professional photographers.

To extend the value of the MARKETMOVER Targeted Sales Modules, customers can choose from several optional services available through Marketing Mentors, Inc., a provider of strategic sales and marketing support. For e-marketing, participants can select a custom landing page, automated sales routing, or personalized URL capabilities. Print providers can also create a complete corporate identity package to promote their companies.

In addition to the latest MARKETMOVER Targeted Sales Module, other components of the MARKETMOVER photo business development services include specialized business training sessions conducted by a dedicated market specialist and a new workshop called "Capitalizing on Photo and Memory Products." The workshop helps management develop and implement marketing and sales initiatives for photo services. Customers also can access the MARKETMOVER Resource Center, on online site with more than 300 business, sales and marketing tools.

"Kodak helped us analyze new markets for our NEXPRESS Press and we determined that photo services represent a viable growth opportunity. We already provide photography and design services for our clients and to be able to provide more options for printed products means our relationships and revenues will improve," said Rob Moseley, President, ASAP Direct Mail. "We created a business plan that pursues both business-to-business and business-to-consumer markets for photo products and are in the process of implementing both at this time. We expect this sector to be a major part of our business in the coming years."

KODAK MARKETMOVER Business Development Services deliver a wide range of innovative tools, resources, and support to enable customers to maximize their return on investment in new technologies and achieve dynamic business growth. MARKETMOVER Service professionals work directly with customers in developing marketing plans, training senior management and sales representatives on new business opportunities, and supporting marketing and sales programs.
