JP Graphics expands business into new digital markets with MGI Meteor DP60 Pro Digital Press

Press release from the issuing company

Appleton, WI – JP Graphics Inc. has expanded their business into new digital markets with the addition of MGI's Meteor DP60 Pro digital press. With the Meteor DP60 Pro, JP Graphics expects to offer more print opportunities for current customers as well as new customers. The 4-color, multi-substrate press is designed for shorter runs and has numerous applications for paper, plastics/synthetics and envelopes.

In addition to many traditional applications (brochures, catalogs, sell sheets, labels, etc.), JP Graphics now offers customers a wide range of new applications on plastic and synthetic substrates, with all products featuring a fast turnaround and the superior quality JP Graphics customers have come to expect.

Customers will also be able to include Variable Data Printing (VDP) in printed pieces, allowing for personalized text, graphics and other elements designed to precisely target key audiences.

"We are taking advantage of the Meteor DP60 Pro's extended sheet sizes (up to 40" in production) as well as the wide range of plastics and synthetics," said JP Graphics Owner/President Rod Stoffel. "Combined with the capabilities to offer short runs on letterhead, envelopes, brochures and other traditional commercial applications, we can now provide our customers with the widest range of digital print options available and a fast turnaround on all products."

"We're also looking forward to expanding into new markets with the Meteor DP60 Pro, such as fishing maps printed on synthetics, offset overprinting and custom photo products such as photo books, as well as other synthetic applications such as door hangers, RFID, membership cards and signage," added Stoffel.

JP Graphics is a commercial printer headquartered in Appleton, WI, and has 40 employees. In its 41 year history, the company has grown from a small family-owned, local printer to a mid-sized regional printer with a national customer base, still privately owned. Through technology and commitment to service, the company has been recognized as a leader in the industry.

The flagship in MGI's digital line, the Meteor DP60 Pro is the most versatile digital press in the graphics industry, receiving consecutive Must See 'em recognition at GRAPH EXPO 2008 and PRINT 09. Key features include true multi-substrate versatility (widest range of paper, plastics & envelopes), sheet sizes up to 40" in production as a standard feature, laser-safe prints, offset comparable color output (Fogra certified), plus no click charge and an economical total cost of operation.

With several hundred installations worldwide since drupa 2008, the Meteor DP60 Pro is quickly becoming the solution of choice for graphics professionals in a wide range of industry segments, including commercial printers, plastic card manufacturers, in-plants, book printers, photo printers, governments, and envelope printers, among others.

Sales and service for JP Graphics are handled by Guaranteed Service & Supplies (GSS Graphics), MGI's dealer for Wisconsin.
