Public Printer to address nation’s librarians

Public Printer Bob Tapella will address hundreds of librarians from around the country at the Fall Federal Depository Library Conference & Depository Library Council Meeting. Federal Depository Libraries work with the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO) to provide Americans access to authentic, published Government information.

Tapella will announce the 2010 Federal Depository Library of the year. The award goes to a library for its commitment to providing the American people with open access to federal government information. Tapella will also discuss how depository libraries can utilize GPO’s Federal Digital System (FDsys) to make government information open and transparent to the American people.
