Inca Digital public launch of Onset S20 set for SGIA

Press release from the issuing company

Inca Digital will be launching its Inca Onset S20 with a further 15 per cent speed boost at Fujifilm booth 2359 during SGIA in Las Vegas, October 13-15, delivering a 24% increase since its initial launch. The Onset S20 will also be shown with Inca's automatic feed and take-up system, to remove and load the print swiftly.

The high-volume Onset S20, sold exclusively by Fujifilm, prints a variety of matt, gloss and satin finishes on a wide range of materials up to 123 inches x 63 inches, and 2 inches thick. The printer's new high-speed mode let users print graphics at 3,330 sqft/hour, equivalent to 62 full beds per hour. This mode was developed in response to users' requirements for ultra-fast display graphics production.

The Onset S20 can be operated in a variety of quality and productivity modes from 600-1000dpi and from 1,600–3,330 sqft/hour. The new print mode is currently being issued to all existing Onset S20 customers as a free upgrade and is included as standard in all new Onset S20 printers.

Inca will also demonstrate the productivity benefits of the Inca Onset S20 with its automation. As print times for a full bed on this faster Inca Onset S20 can be as little as 48 seconds, minimum handling time and maximum productivity, delivered by automation, becomes almost a necessity. The Inca S20 automation system is capable of operating in manual, semi- or three-quarter automation. A variety of sheet sizes can be pre-positioned during the printing process, ready for the handling system to remove a printed sheet swiftly and to load the next. The automation system is capable of handling up to three sheets at a time, and has the precision to accommodate double sided print accurately. Adding automation to the Inca Onset S20 can enhance productivity by up to 36%, compared to manual handling.

"Inca Digital and Fujifilm see SGIA as an important showcase for new Inca Digital products and technologies. It's seen the US launch of our Spyder 320+ white, the worldwide launches of the 6-color Turbo Plus, and our fast Spyder V, to name a recent few," remarks Dr Linda Bell, CEO, Inca Digital. "In the case of the Onset S20, its design allows us to react quickly to market needs and enhance some features. While the Inca Onset S20 delivers exceptional results at standard production speed modes, not all jobs require these levels of quality. Our customers receive a wide variety of work for the Onset S20 - we can now produce at good levels of quality even faster. Our customers asked us for this new mode and we expect that those who see the Onset S20 on the SGIA show floor will be very impressed."

"As those who see the Inca Onset S20 at SGIA will discover, production automation is important to ensure maximum productivity and cost-efficiency with minimal downtime in order to deliver the very best return on investment," says Heather Kendle, Director of Marketing, Inca Digital. "As we continue to develop faster times for the Inca Onset S20, this becomes almost essential."

Production can be further streamlined with Inca's Print Run Controller (PRC) software, which manages the production of a complex print job incorporating a run of different elements or images, sizes or languages. It can also manage jobs where large numbers of images need to be output in varying quantities with variable elements to a large number of delivery locations.

At SGIA the Inca Onset S20 will be printing with the six-color Fujifilm Uvijet ink set, producing quality with variable finish effects (matt, satin, high gloss) for a range of applications including display POP, exhibition graphics, backlit/frontlit displays and outdoor signs.

Inca offers a range of digital UV inkjet flatbed printers in a choice of formats, speeds and colors. Visit www.incadigital.com to see full details or contact the company's exclusive distributor, Fujifilm.
