Kodak agrees sponsorship deal for first dotgain.org conference

Press release from the issuing company

Kodak has agreed to sponsor the first annual dotgain.org conference, which will be held at the King's Fund, London on Tuesday 30th November 2010.   As a founder member of dotgain.org and with a strong relationship with the British Printing Industries Federation (BPIF) and PODi in the U.S., Kodak regards the dotgain.org conference as a key initiative and an opportunity to network with marketing and data organisations, brand agencies and cross-media business service providers.

Pat Holloway, Kodak Marketing Manager says: "As inaugural members of this affiliate of PODi in the UK, Kodak is looking forward to participating and sponsoring the dotgain.org conference.   PODi is a global organisation supporting digital printing initiatives.  It has a wealth of knowledge and is a key source of ideas and information through its best practice case study database. We are delighted to sponsor this key event in the UK."

This one day event will feature speakers and sessions to bring printers up to speed on all aspects of the latest technologies impacting on and complementing the print business. By embracing these new technologies, they will be able to transform their business into a full communications services provider - with potentially huge earnings uplift.

Keynote speaker at the conference will be Richard Romano who will open the conference. His pivotal book, 'Disrupting the Future' confirms what dotgain.org is all about - the print world is changing. To evolve, printers must adopt the digital changes. These are not obstacles but opportunities for growth.

As an expert and acclaimed author, Richard will discuss why the old business advice and common wisdom that guided the industry for decades is now out of context. After years of study, he has developed a new set of guidelines, advice, and "uncommon wisdom."

The dotgain.org conference will focus on three themes: Innovation, Application and Harnessing New Media - across nine sessions and including an interactive panel forum on cross-media and it's impact on print:
Innovation: Cross Media Marketing, Mobile to Print, Personalised Books
Application: Web to Print, Data Management, New Media
Harnessing New Media: Web, Email and Social Media.

The cost to attend the conference is £195 for dotgain.org & BPIF members and £295 for non-members.
