Thursday, September 25, 2003
September 25, 2003 -- (Stand 4436) - Launching Python, a 4 up CtP violet platesetter, in the US market. Python's technology is wholly designed and developed by HighWater, UK, who has a great pedigree in producing robust, easy to use, low cost of ownership devices for the mid market sector. This offers end-users a proven, cost-effective product. The new model provides an internal drum precision flat bed loading CtP solution. The Python at the show on GraphLine’s stand will include the blueviolet technology, which allows nearly daylight performance and will produce 20 B2 metal plates an hour. Python works with HighWater's much-acclaimed Torrent v6 RIP, which is the interpreter in the workflow, offering professionals a versatile and trusted solution. Torrent v6 represents a leap forward in RIP technology. With the introduction of support for PDF 1.4, more extensive colour management features, the complete new in-RIP trapping engine, TrapPro Lite, and the continuing drive toward performance improvement, this new release provides more functionality and support for a wider range of input jobs than ever before. There will be two proofing options on show: one for data integrity - ROOM with PixelProof, and one for colour matching – Torrent ProofReady. PixelProof is a fully automated proofing solution providing a ROOM (RIP once output many) fast output on a dedicated PC running Windows 2000, re-combining either1 bit Tiff files or RIPped PageBuffer separations. Tom Brancato, Director of Digital Systems at GraphLine said, "GraphLine is proud to distribute the HighWater Python in the US. The addition of Python to our portfolio completes our range of Computer to Plate for the 2-up device and 4-up printer offering exceptional price/performance value. We can now bring to our dealer network a CtP device that has high quality, excellent productivity and offers end users an affordable entry into the CTP arena.
