New CREO Color Server driving CANON imagePRESS Printers at Graph Expo

Chicago - Kodak's Print On-Demand Solutions Group is launching a new version of the imagePRESS CR Server A7000 and the brand new A7500, Powered by CREO Color Server Technology. Both models are now available for the CANON imagePRESS C7010VP/C7000VP series of printers to accommodate a wider range of customers needs.

A7000 Version 2: New Advanced Features
The imagePRESS CR Server A7000 Version 2 offers the benefits of CREO Color Server Technology, with new and advanced features, at a more attractive price point. Version 2 adds functionality and enhances ease-of-use with features like Email and SMS notifications, on-line help and automatic paper-size switch.  This version also enables new finishing options and permits a wider use of media. The imagePRESS CR Server A7000 now supports Canon's Operations and Maintenance Application, and has expanded JDF capabilities enabling printers to seamlessly integrate Canon's imagePRESS digital presses into a variety of professional workflows.

Performance and Power with New A7500
The new imagePRESS CR Server A7500 provides all the features and capabilities of the A7000 Version 2, but with a more powerful server platform. The resulting superior RIP performance is geared for production environments where greater processing power is needed. Demanding graphic arts printing environments will also benefit the embedded Process Power Kit which includes 2 advanced features: The Parallel RIP which speeds up production by allowing two jobs to be processed simultaneously and the Photo Touch-up Software which lets operator automatically correct and improve images.

These color print servers offer a unique RIP architecture, exceptional productivity, and a comprehensive Variable Data Printing (VDP) solution.

Both digital front ends support the CANON imagePRESS C7010VP/C7000VP series of printers including the new C7010VP/C6010VP/C6010 print engines and the existing C7000VP/C6000VP/C6000 engines.

The new imagePRESS CR Server A7500 will be demonstrated at GRAPH EXPO in the Canon booth, # 2027, and the imagePRESS CR Server A7000 will be presented in the Océ North America booth, #1217, driving the CANON imagePRESS C7010VP press.
