Rochester Software associates leverages XMPie platform

Press release from the issuing company

New York – XMPie, the leading provider of software for dynamic publishing, has been chosen by Rochester Software Associates (RSA), a provider of premium production print workflow software solutions, to enable customization and personalization within their existing enterprise Web-to-print solution, WebCRD.

WebCRD interacts directly with XMPie's uStore Connect, the Application Programming Interface (API) to uStore, XMPie's Web-to-print and marketing portal solution. This allows RSA to take full advantage of XMPie's extensive VDP capabilities and integrate it into their workflow.

Tim Kelly, senior vice president, RSA, stated, "Providing our customers the ability to produce and order XMPie-generated templates within WebCRD allows us to offer them customization, personalization and cross-media marketing campaigns, while maintaining the quality user experience they have come to expect from RSA. Developing an integrated system with XMPie was proficient and cost-effective with our Web services interface, and we are excited about this new partnership."

Leveraging WebCRD's simple single screen ticketing and new shopping cart ordering process, users can order XMPie templates just like any other WebCRD catalog item. After choosing an item from the WebCRD application, which is uniquely customized to a customer's brand, the user can input their variable data, then view and approve a proof of the final product prior to ordering. This process is enabled by the seamlessly-embedded uStore document selection and customization workflow. Once the customer completes the customization workflow, the WebCRD platform handles ordering, production, fulfillment and accounting. As an XMPie-supported integration, there is no custom software to develop or maintain.

"By integrating the uStore workflow for document selection and customization into the WebCRD Web-to-print solution, RSA was able to add state-of-the-art support for on-demand variable data customization into their complete leading solution for Web-to-print," said Jacob Aizikowitz, president, XMPie.
