INX scores at Labelexpo with narrow web technology

Press release from the issuing company

Schaumburg, IL – With a very active booth and the best attendance in recent years, INX International was quite pleased with the results at Labelexpo Americas 2010.  Company officials said the September 14-16 show at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois near Chicago saw a sizeable number of traditional label printers visiting the booth in search of two things.  One of them was the technology preview of the NW100 narrow web printer that offers high-speed, high quality narrow web inkjet printing.

"Labelexpo saw a number of traditional label printers spending time with us," said Jim Lambert, Vice President Digital Division of INX International.  "They were looking for a standalone label press like the NW100, which we will formally introduce in the first quarter of 2011.  We also met with a number of customers who have a desire to transform existing label presses with some type of digital printing capability.  Our preview demonstration of the NW100 went extremely well.  We received plenty of good feedback in regards to the different substrates that people were asking if it could accommodate."

Ideal for short-run narrow web labels, Lambert said the NW100 is very fast and can deliver full-color UV LED-cure single-pass output at throughput speeds up to 80 linear feet per minute.  The printer can run material widths of 6.3 inches and has a maximum print imaging width of 5.5 inches.  Designed by INX Digital systems integration specialists, the NW100 uses patented Xaar 1001 piezoelectric printhead technology with Summit UV's patented and unique Black Diamond 465-8W series LED lights.  Lambert said the NW100 uses specially designed INX Digital EVOLVE line of UV inks.

INX also showcased a new ink at the show.  INXFlex ITX free process inks are a high quality, best-in-class UV flexographic product and offers minimal plate swell in regards to all plate making technologies including digital and fast curing photopolymers.  Designed for most tag & label, pressure sensitive, and shrink and in-mold label applications, INXFlex ITX free process inks are environmentally friendly as they are V-Pyrol, Benzophenone and ITX free.
