September 23, 2003 -- Irish Print Support (IPS) has recently been awarded the dealership rights for ECRM Imaging Systems in the Republic of Ireland, and the company is already finding it to be a successful move, with three MAKO CTP systems already installed and a substantial prospect list for many more. Located in Roscommon, in the centre of the country, IPS is in prime position to service the Irish market. Originally established to provide a complete service to the Irish pre-press and printing industry, IPS has grown to supply a full range of printing equipment and supplies. Les Sharpe, Sales Director at IPS, comments, “Since it was established IPS has grown to become one of the foremost firms in the Irish pre-press market. We have grown with the industry, to the extent that we now enjoy a client base of over 250 satisfied customers. Presently, the Irish market is slightly depressed, with some printers citing over-capacity as one of the main reasons for the condition. IPS however, is busier than ever. Les continues, “The interest in CTP has increased significantly from medium sized commercial printers, as more systems are coming on to the market that are less expensive and more productive. We have been particularly impressed by the image quality and the build standard, which we believe will lead to a high level of reliability. We find that many customers simply want plates produced quickly and easily, and the MAKO CTP does just that.” IPS provides full service facilities, consultancy and training for the Irish printing industry.
