GammTech to launch new GammStack compensating stacker at Graph Expo

Press release from the issuing company

Palmetto, FL - GammTech, a leading supplier of newly manufactured and rebuilt postpress equipment and parts, announced plans to launch a new compensating stacker at Graph Expo, October 3 – 6, held at the McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago, IL.

The new GammStack employs GammTech's patent pending two-grid indexing system that uses both pneumatic and servo technology to move the grids within the stacker's chambers. The downward motion of the grids is servo driven, while the upward motion is controlled by pneumatics. This unique arrangement allows the GammStack to use the precision of servo technology as the stack builds, and as it is delivered to the stacker table - while taking advantage of the speed of pneumatic technology to quickly return the empty grid to its original position. The result is an easy-to-use machine that consistently delivers precisely aligned bundles for a wide variety of basis weights - even at high press speeds.

The GammStack also offers the advantage of separating the stacker's day-to-day operation controls from the machines set-up controls.  On/off buttons and clear out functions needed by day-to-day stacker operators are conveniently located above the delivery table hood on both sides of the machine. Set-up operations are easily accessed via the large 5"x4" control panel. This division of labor makes the GammStack operator friendly and ensures the secure operation of set-up controls.
