XANTE Selects Arthur Verwey as Vice-President of Worldwide OEM Sales

Press release from the issuing company

September 22, 2003 -- XANTÉ Corporation, a technology-driven company known for its innovative, high-quality computer-to-plate and computer-to-film solutions, is adding a seasoned veteran to its OEM sales force. Arthur Verwey, Vice President of Worldwide Marketing for the Mobile, Ala.-based XANTÉ, has been promoted to Vice President of Worldwide OEM Sales. Verwey will serve those who distribute XANTÉ products under a number of successful labels throughout the world. XANTÉ's OEM sales are experiencing strong growth, fueled by the versatility of its PlateMaker4 and FilmMaker4 products. "We see a growing potential in OEM sales for companies that require state-of-the-art products from XANTÉ to be sold under private labels," says Verwey. "These products would be non-competing, high-margin printers with personalized features if required. Even the consumables could be sold under a private label. And, all of our OEM partners are included in non-disclosure agreements with XANTÉ." XANTÉ's PlateMaker4 allows printing directly to Myriad 2 polyester plates and Myriad 4 paper plates, in a safe chemical-free dry plate process. It's the only printer of its kind able to print up to 340mm (13") by 902mm (35.5"), and is strengthened by advanced graphic calibration software. The Clean Plate Technology delivers "toning-free" plates ready for the press, and resin added to the plates during manufacturing actually strengthens the fiber composition - making Myriad plates the first to ensure "No Stretch, No Etch," trouble-free printing. With its daylight film loading, the FilmMaker4 cuts out the expenses of cameras, darkroom supplies and expensive outsourcing, aiding small print shops, and printers in developing markets. A speedy throughput time of 1 to 1 1/2 minutes means the FilmMaker can output film at 40 sheets per hour at 1200 dpi and 25 sheets per hour at 2400 dpi. By pairing the FilmMaker with the new Myriad Clear Film for imaging film positives, designers may for the first time avoid the hassle of stripping and opaquing pinholes. Verwey brings to the position over a decade of experience in the sales and marketing arena of the graphic industry. Before being appointed to the position of Vice-President of Worldwide Marketing, Verwey served as Sales Director for XANTÉ's European office and worked for a Xante distributor in the Benelux region.
