Heidelberg Saphira Bio ink certified for Color-Logic Process Metallic Color System

Press release from the issuing company

Kennesaw, Ga., – Heidelberg USA and Color-Logic, Inc. have announced that Heidelberg USA has become Color-Logic's first national Certified Supplier Partner for Saphira Bio process ink.

The certification ensures both that Heidelberg's Saphira Bio Ink can print on top of Color-Logic's new Process Metallic Color System's non-leafing silver ink, and that Heidelberg's North American Print & Packaging Technology Center has the process controls and systems in place to effectively demonstrate the Color-Logic software to customers.

"The Color-Logic certification provides further evidence that Saphira Bio Ink delivers robust performance across a broad range of running conditions and applications, including specialty applications like Color Logic's Process Metallic Color System," said J-F Colpron, vice president, Prinect and Consumables Product Management.  "Customers may rest assured that Saphira Bio Ink-like all Heidelberg Saphira consumables-will work as promised to meet their most demanding requirements."

Developed specifically for use in sheetfed offset presses, Saphira Bio Ink is among the latest to join Heidelberg's extensive line of competitively priced, premium Saphira consumable products, as well as evidence of Heidelberg's ongoing, industry-leading dedication to sustainability.

Saphira Bio Ink combines outstanding lithographic performance, press productivity, and print quality with ultra-low VOC content-typically 2-3 percent by EPA Method 24. Saphira Bio Ink also contains a high percentage of bio-derived, renewable raw materials, retains excellent color strength on coated or uncoated papers, and is suitable for aqueous coating, off-line UV coating and lamination. Finally, like all Saphira inks, Saphira Bio Ink can be supplied with ICC profiles to help printers achieve the best proof-to-print color match. Heidelberg Saphira Bio Ink has earned the EcoLogo, North America's oldest and most trusted environmental leadership certification mark.
