Standard Register Healthcare Signs Multi-Year Agreement

Press release from the issuing company

DAYTON, Ohio  -- Standard Register, a leading provider of document and information management solutions for healthcare, announced it has signed a three-year agreement with Premier Purchasing Partners, L.P., the group purchasing unit of Premier, Inc. Premier is one of the nation's largest healthcare alliances.

The agreement, which took effect on August 31, significantly expands the scope of services Standard Register has been providing to the 2,400 hospitals and nearly 70,000 other healthcare sites that comprise the Premier Health Alliance.  Now in addition to traditional paper forms, SR Healthcare has contracted to provide print shop management services, electronic forms, electronic content management solutions and document imaging services.

In addition to serving Premier's full membership, SR Healthcare will be the sole supplier to members participating in Premier's ASCEND (Accelerated Supply Chain Endeavor) program, which is designed to help participants achieve and sustain rapid supply chain performance improvement.

"This is a new era in healthcare where hospitals are working to transform themselves even as they deal with tremendous financial pressures," said Brad Cates, president of Standard Register Healthcare. "With this broader portfolio of services and solutions, we can help hospitals achieve meaningful change that improves the quality of care while making it more cost-effective."

Standard Register has been serving Premier Alliance members since its inception. Over the last three years, it has saved member hospitals more than $35 million through programs focused on cost management, standardization and process improvement.
