OneVision releases new version of image software Amendo

Press release from the issuing company

Regensburg, Germany – OneVision, a global provider of prepress and premedia software solutions to the printing and publishing industries, has equipped the new version of its innovative image enhancement software Amendo with a variety of new options and functions. Amendo analyzes each image independently and automatically makes all necessary corrections and optimizations within seconds. With its intuitive and easy to use interface, Amendo provides printers and publishers with professional-quality image enhancement and color correction that can significantly reduce the time and effort needed to process images and reduce time to press.

Amendo's new functions give you even greater opportunities to tailor the software to meet your production requirements.

- Import, export and conversion of PSD images: Photoshop PSD files can now be imported and processed; additionally other supported Image formats can also be converted to, and output as Photoshop PSD format. Two different layers can be generated. One layer contains the original and the other layer the optimized image. In a page layout application such as Adobe InDesign you can then switch between the different layers.

- Import, export and conversion of EPS images: Photoshop EPS files can now be imported, processed and output. In addition other supported image formats can be converted to Photoshop EPS format on Output.

- Possibility to adjust minimum and maximum dot values: You can now set minimum printing dot values for CMYK images and minimum/maximum dot values for grayscale images.

- Check for high and low resolution images: Amendo now checks if the image resolution is higher or lower than a defined preset value.

OneVision's Amendo sets standards in image enhancement: rather than modifying an entire image, Amendo adjusts individual image elements therefore obtaining even better results. Amendo improves contrast, shadow and highlight as well as colors and image sharpness. After an image is optimized, the user has the option to easily compare the original and the newly created images in order to obtain a full visual record of the enhancement process prior to further processing. If additional manual intervention is required, the original image can be easily exported to third-party applications and re-imported into Amendo.

The new Amendo will be presented at several upcoming shows, including the WAN-IFRA India conference on September 15 – 16 in Jaipur and the IFRA Expo 2010, taking place in Hamburg, Germany from October 4 - 6. The entire OneVision Team is looking forward to welcome you there.

OneVision's software is used by many of the world's leading publishers as well as commercial and digital printing companies in more than 60 countries.
