Xitron showcases ROOM proofing option for Navigator workflow

Press release from the issuing company

Xitron, the prepress industry's leading independent developer and integrator of Raster Image Processors, RIP management and prepress workflow software, will showcase a ROOM Proofing option for its line of Navigator prepress workflow solutions at Graph Expo in Chicago, October 3-6 in Booth 207.

ROOM Proofing is an optional module that utilizes the high resolution TIFF files created for final output as the source for proofing output. ROOM Proofing is compatible with any Navigator prepress workflow solution including Navigator GPS and Navigator Elite.

ROOM Proofing expands flexibility for proofing with:
- RIP Once Output Many
- Customizable descreening and colorization
- Compatibility with Xitron proofing plug-ins

"ROOM Proofing has been one of the most requested features by our dealers and end-user customers," stated Mark Eisenschenk, Xitron's President and CEO. "The addition of this flexible proofing option further expands Navigator's prepress workflow capabilities."

ROOM Proofing is an option in the latest version of the Navigator Workflow Server. The Navigator Workflow Server provides support for up to five Navigator or other Harlequin RIPs and ten simultaneous users or clients. The workflow server includes a number of productivity options designed to make busy prepress departments even more productive including extensive job management, PDF Creation and Preflighting, imposition integration using Dynagram's inpO2 solution and online job submission and proofing.  In the pressroom, the Navigator Workflow Server can control one or more direct press console connections through Xitron's KeySetter Connect digital ink key setting application.

The client software runs on PC and Macintosh OS Intel-based systems. The modular system allows for one Navigator Workflow Server to support a multitude of solutions in both prepress and the pressroom.

Xitron offers RIP and Workflow solutions through its network of OEMs, distributors, dealers, and system integrators worldwide.
