Sign & print, warehouse & distribution company automates with Prism WIN 2010

Press release from the issuing company

Victoria, Australia — Mills Styrox, a leader in retail support accessories, signage and printing, and POS displays has recently installed the Prism WIN 2010 management information system. Mills Styrox takes advantage of WIN’s flexibility, configurability, and integrated modules to manage the diverse requirements of print, manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution.

“This flexibility and integration allows us to use all aspects of WIN across all operations, including Purchasing, Sales orders, Inventory, Quoting and Jobbing and of course Accounts,” says Melissa Gittus, Chief Operating Officer of Mills Styrox. “And at the end of each financial period we are able to splice the two operational streams back into one financial outcome.”

“I personally have worked in the print industry for 20 years and have lived through several implementations including two with Prism,” continues Gittus. “I felt that with my experience with WIN and its capabilities, as well as the support team at Prism, this would be the best choice for Mills Styrox. From this decision we hope to gain better control over the independent operations and gain greater transparency to capacity, cost control, and inventory management, which ultimately will help us meet our customer expectations.”

“The businesses Mills Styrox is in taps the unique capabilities of Prism WIN to integrate a wide range of business and production processes,” comments Kathy Mitchell, Global Director of Operations and Technology at Prism. “From our software, to our implementation consultants and support centre, we have been able to provide unique value to Mills Styrox during their implementation. We’re very pleased to have them as a new partner in Australia.”

Mills Styrox began realizing benefits as soon as the first modules were implemented. With the installation of inventory and accounts they are realizing time savings, a reduction of redundant keying, more accuracy in inventory control, and an overall streamlining of business processes.

As a partner, Prism continues to deliver world-class customer support.
“Reliable would be the word that comes to mind. Prism has delivered the product in the time frame with the level of support that they told us at the outset,” comments Gittus. “
