Questar Gas Chooses Group 1 DOC1 Suite

Press release from the issuing company

Lanham, MD - Group 1 Software today announced that Questar Gas has selected Group 1's DOC1 suite to generate its customers' bills. Headquartered in Salt Lake City, Questar Gas provides natural gas to about 760,000 customers in Utah, Wyoming and Idaho. The DOC1 suite gives businesses complete control of the document lifecycle, from content design, generation, and archiving to Web presentment and electronic payment. “One the primary reasons for selecting DOC1 was its seamless integration with our new SPL CorDaptix customer management solution,” said Bruce Madsen, CIS project director at Questar Gas. “DOC1 gives us more flexibility including the ability to incorporate more personalized information in our customer bills and provide better customer service. Additionally, by replacing our legacy bill print program with DOC1, we will not have to do custom development in-house.” DOC1's core document generation technology enables businesses to create and deliver personalized customer communications anywhere using a single application. DOC1 lets users combine fonts, full color images and variable data to create high-impact personalized communications for on-line and e-commerce applications as well as high-volume and on-demand printing. The DOC1 Suite incorporates tightly integrated modules to manage the entire document lifecycle, including document archive and retrieval, on-line presentment and e-payment. “We're very pleased that Questar is joining the growing ranks of leading energy providers worldwide that have chosen the DOC1 suite for their customer communications needs,” said Alan Slater, president of Group 1's DOC1 Division. “With the industry's only modular, integrated approach to document management, the DOC1 suite is uniquely positioned to meet the continually evolving customer communications management requirements of today's leading businesses.”
