Charlotte - Geami, the manufacturer of eco friendly packaging products, has announced they have been awarded Sustainable Forestry Initiative third party Chain of Custody Certification of the process for tracking and recording the possession and transfer of wood fiber from the forests of origin through the different stages of production to the end user.
 
This certification ensures that the raw materials used to make Geami packaging paper are obtained from mills that only source wood fibers from 100% sustainably managed forests.

SFI has certified over 154 million acres of forests throughout North America making it one of the largest initiatives in the world. In order to achieve the Chain of Custody certification, Geami has put into effect a tracking system that confirms the amount of certified, materials that are used in their paper packaging products.
