ColorBurst Proofing System Achieves SWOP Certification

September 16, 2003 -- CSE Inc, the creators of the ColorBurst RIP announced today that the ColorBurst Proofing System has been approved by the SWOP committee to produce off-press ink-jet proofs. The ColorBurst Proofing System is comprised of an Epson Stylus Pro 7600 or 9600, Epson Proofing Paper Semi Matt, Epson UltrachromeTM inks, Microsoft Windows Operating System, and any of the following ColorBurst RIP applications: ColorBurst ProLab ColorBurst Pro II ColorBurst Pro ColorBurst SE SWOP Specifications state that: “the appearance of an off-press proof must closely simulate a SWOP press proof”. By gaining SWOP certification the ColorBurst Proofing System has become one of the few low cost Inkjet systems to be approved for off-press inkjet proofs. All ColorBurst products include pre-configured settings and linearization features that ensure customers can produce SWOP certified off-press proofs on their Epson 7600/9600 printers right out of the box. Included features will allow the ColorBurst Proofing System to easily connect to Windows, Apple Macintosh OS 9, and Apple Macintosh OS X. The ColorBurst Proofing System will automatically nest jobs to maximize paper usage, match industry standard spot colors, and has the ability to be calibrated (re-linearized) to ensure that SWOP proofs generated with the ColorBurst Proofing Systems are consistent from job site to job site anywhere in the world.
