Three Kansas City Area companies form strategic alliance

Wednesday, August 11, 2010

Press release from the issuing company

Lenexa - The Strategic Alliance of three companies is about to change the landscape of the printing and plastic card industries in the Kansas City area.  Digital Vision Resources Group (DVRG), Getz Color Graphics and Mag-Jestic Card announce today a Strategic Alliance to offer high volume, superior quality print, personalization, encoding, embossing and fulfillment of plastic cards. This alliance is expected to bring Kansas City to the forefront of gift card providers with a tremendous offering of services in one central location with all equipment on-site in Lenexa, Kansas.

DVRG, a WBE Certified provider of plastic card services, offers unique solutions for companies using plastic cards for gift, loyalty cards, membership - every type of plastic card in the market. Getz Color Graphics, (www.getzcolor.com) a 25-year veteran of offset printing and large format print began Mag-Jestic Card (www.magjestic.com) to offer the pre-print background cards, eventually becoming a supplier for DVRG, who personalizes and fulfills cards.

"We realized the need to diversify our product offering," said Scott Getz. "It made sense for our companies to work together rather than against each other competing for opportunities".  Todd Getz, co-owner with his brother Scott, also recognized the opportunity for growth, stating, "When we all sat down at the table and looked for an efficient way to increase revenue and build the future for Getz, plastic was clearly the way to go." Together with Wendell Cline, the two invested in equipment to press polish, adhere magnetic stripes, laminate and die cut printed sheets to CR80 cards, forming Mag-Jestic Card.

"When Diane approached us about working together to grow EACH of our companies, we were on board immediately," stated Wendell Cline of Mag-Jestic Card.

"Our plastic card production and personalization services are unique; we were the first company in the Greater Kansas City area to offer commercial personalization and encoding services as well as card embossing," said Diane St. Louis, President of DVRG, a WBE Certified Company.  "Our expertise in the plastic card business is relevant and proven; having sat on the other side of the desk searching for plastic card providers and fulfillment services, I have experienced some of the pitfalls of launching a card program. Together with Getz and Mag-Jestic, DVRG will enhance industry, creating jobs and opportunities here in Kansas City."  Learn more about WBENC Certification at www.wbenc.org.

The three companies will maintain their individual identities and corporate structures but operate from one location at 82nd and Nieman Road in Lenexa. In addition to plastic cards they continue to offer digital print, direct mail, offset printing, large format printing and fulfillment.
